How MyCourier Builds Up Our Community

As 2024 draws to a close, the team at MyCourier takes pride in looking back at the year’s achievements, not just in terms of business growth, but in the meaningful connections and support we’ve extended to our local communities.

Community lies at the heart of everything we do, and as a family-run organization, our team is committed to making a positive impact on local businesses and charity-run organizations. Here’s a recap of how we’ve contributed to our communities this year and how we plan to build on these efforts in 2025.

Moatassem Moatez Becomes Vice Chair of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors

This year, our CEO and Founder, Moatassem Moatez, was honoured to serve as Vice Chair of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.

The Oakville Chamber has been a cornerstone of our local business community since 1949, working to foster a healthy, sustainable economy and provide trusted advocacy for businesses.

Through this role, Moatassem continues to work alongside other local leaders to champion economic growth, create opportunities, and strengthen connections within the community.

The Oakville Chamber is like-minded executives and business owners, who support each other to grow personally and professionally, from business connections, celebrating wins and guiding you through challenges.

Supporting the Halton Learning Foundation

In 2024, we proudly supported the Halton Learning Foundation’s (HLF) Eliminating Barriers program, which provides essential resources like clothing, food, and school supplies to students in the Halton District School Board.

This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to support local communities. We believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity to succeed, and through our contribution, we’ve helped create brighter futures for students across the region.

Our hope is to inspire other local businesses to join this cause (Not just during the holiday season, but all year round) to ensure that every student has the tools they need to thrive.

Uplifting Each Other During Delivery Disruptions

When the Canada Post strike began in November, we published an open letter to the logistics industry calling for collaboration to navigate this challenging period.

Our message was simple: by working together, we can mitigate the effects of these disruptions and ensure that goods reach their destinations. This strike has had a challenging impact on businesses across Canada, including those in our own communities, and we believe that unity is key to sustaining the final-mile delivery ecosystem.

Through this effort, we reinforced our commitment to not only serving our partners and customers but also supporting the well-being of the broader logistics industry.

As we look ahead to 2025, our commitment to fostering meaningful community connections and strengthening resilience within our operations remains strong. From mentoring programs to supporting local schools and tackling industry challenges, we’re dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact in the regions we proudly serve.

To the local businesses and neighbours who have supported us throughout our journey: thank you for being an important part of our story for over five years.

Together, we can continue building stronger communities and unlocking opportunities for growth and success in the year to come.
